24 hours Laboratory Services
Under the umbrella of the division of laboratory medicine, the clinical laboratory functions round the clock providing investigative support in biochemistry, haematology and clinical pathology. We are already in the process of introducing automation for accurate biochemical analysis.

In view of the higher incidence of coronary artery diseases among Kerala’s younger population and driven by our own social commitment at Lords, we have a program of Executive Health Checkup which includes a very dependable and affordable analysis of lipid profile (Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL Cholesterol, LDL Cholesterol and VLDL Cholesterol). Lords’s patients and the public are welcome to take advantages of this program. Prevention is always better than cure. And experts are always here to offer advice on changes for a heart-healthy life style.

The laboratory has separate sections for offering diagnostic services in histopathology, bacteriology, virology and immunology.

Pharmacy
We have a 24-hour air conditioned Pharmacy which caters to inpatients and outpatients. We keep high quality medicines and major life saving drugs. From the wards and ICU ‘s medicines are intended through Hospital Information System (HIS) which assures fast delivery to the concerned areas.

Intensive Care Unit
ICU is equipped with all modern gadgets for diagnosis and treatment and is provided with central supply of oxygen, air and vacuum unit in all the beds, cardiac monitors Pulse oxymeters, defibrillators infusion pumps and syringe pumps. Intensive Care Ventilators with all modes of ventilation are available in this unit, where respiratory support is provided by the department of Anesthesiology. The service specially trained doctors and nurses are available round the clock.

Operation Theatre facilities
Lords Hospital has four fully equipped Major Operation Theatres suites, which is maintained at par with international standards, with air conditioning mechanism which micro filters the air for circulation. This helps in maintaining a sterile microclimate inside the theatre complex. All the theatres are equipped with modern gadgets like Pulse Oxymeters, Capnographs, Video-endoscopies, Anesthesia Ventilators and Central Supply for Oxygen, Nitrous oxide, Compressed air, and Vacuum. A well-equipped Post Operative Intensive Care is attached to the Theatre. Pain clinic, Obstetric Analgesia (Painless Delivery) functions under the Anesthesia department. There is an Intensive Coronary Care Unit with all monitoring facilities including Ventilator backup, expert nursing and medical supervision for the safety and care of the patient.
